Dublin GAA Juvenile update Friday 6th November

Dublin GAA Juvenile update Friday 6th November

Fri, 6th November 2020

A Rúnaí, a chara,

Bord na nÓg in conjunction with both CCC1 and CCC2 have decided they will issue no more fixtures in 2020.

The following is the status for all 2020 Juvenile outstanding competitions:

  • U12 Hurling & Football Grading games – season over
  • U13 Hurling & Football Grading League games - season over
  • U14 Hurling & Football Féile competitions will not be completed
  • U15 Hurling & Football Championships will not be completed
  • U16 Hurling & Football Championships – the intention is to finish
  • We had already indicated no more U8 to U11 Go Game fixtures would be issued.

The position of the sixteen outstanding U16 competitions* which are at Semi-Final or Final stages is similar to that taken by the Adult CCC concerning outstanding Minor competitions. The remaining games will be scheduled from 17th January 2021 subject to Government and Croke Park guidelines in place at that time and also subject to Dublin's Minor Hurling Inter-County Championship commitments which may impact some Club U16 Teams.

*U16 Hurling C & D Championship to be clarified

The juvenile committees will now focus attention on producing the 2021 Juvenile Master Fixture Calendar.

Some guiding principles:

  • U16 - League & Championship model
  • U15 - Nationally Féile will move to the U15 age grade

- League plus a Féile multi-weekend model

  • U14 - Double Round League

-Divisional grading will be a combination of self-grading and U13 grading League performance in games played in 2020

  • U13 - Grading League followed by League (single round)
  • U12 - Grading Blitz games followed by League (single round)

Level 5 restrictions are in place until 1st December. Juveniles can continue to train on a non-contact basis in pods of no more than 15 people. The Health Questionnaire must be filled out by all those participating.

Bord na nÓg, CCC1 & CCC2 would like to thank all our Club Officers, Mentors, Players, Members and families for all your patience and help over the last few months.

Stay Safe

Yours in Sport,

Damian
